About IntelliBricks

IntelliBricks is a growing organization offering STEM enrichment classes across the Sacramento region. From LEGO® Robotics to Scratch Coding, Stop-Motion Animation, Digital Drawing, Drone Operations, STEM-in-the-Kitchen, and Applied Science Labs, our programs inspire curiosity and hands-on learning in elementary and middle school students. We currently run classes at 60+ schools and community sites, and we are looking for enthusiastic, dependable instructors to join our 2025–2026 afterschool teaching team.

Availability Requirements

  • Classes are held Monday–Friday between 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm (afterschool hours).
  • Applicants must be available at least 3–5 weekdays consistently throughout the semester.
  • Sessions run in 6–10 week blocks; reliability for the full session is essential.
  • Occasional Saturday academies or intersession programs may also be offered.

Desired Qualifications

  • Passionate about LEGO® Robotics, Drone Operations, and other STEM subjects (coding, animation, science experiments, cooking labs).
  • Experience working with children ages 5–12 (1–2 years preferred).
  • Classroom/group management skills (10–20 students).
  • Outgoing, energetic, and patient personality.
  • Punctual, responsible, and flexible with scheduling.
  • Preferred backgrounds: Education, Teaching, Engineering, Computer Science, Art, Science, or related majors.

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (instructors must travel to schools across Sacramento, Roseville, Rocklin, Lincoln, Folsom, Citrus Heights, and nearby areas).
  • Proof of automobile insurance upon hiring.
  • Must successfully pass a background check (paid by IntelliBricks).
  • Must complete Livescan fingerprinting, TB skin test, and CPR certification (instructors pay upfront; IntelliBricks reimburses the cost after 6 months of employment).
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs (LEGO kits, laptops, drone equipment, classroom supplies).

Responsibilities

  • Lead afterschool classes using IntelliBricks lesson plans.
  • Assist students in building LEGO® models, coding with Scratch, operating drones, creating digital art, or conducting STEM activities.
  • Manage classroom environment and ensure student safety.
  • Take attendance, ensure safe sign-in/out with parents.
  • Pick up and return materials to IntelliBricks office as assigned.
  • Set up before class and clean up after class.
  • Collaborate respectfully with co-instructors to ensure smooth operations.

Pay & Benefits

  • Compensation: $20 – $24 per hour, depending on role and experience.
  • Paid training with structured lesson plans provided.
  • Instructors are compensated with a travel allowance for each site they teach at.
  • Instructors who are available at least 4 days a week may be allowed to store class materials at their home, with IntelliBricks covering storage responsibility.
  • Growth opportunity: Strong candidates may advance to lead instructor roles and year-round teaching opportunities.

Founded in 2013, IntelliBricks currently operates across 60+ schools and community sites and is expanding into the Visalia and Fresno Unified School Districts. We are looking for enthusiastic, dependable instructors to join our 2026–2027 afterschool teaching team.

Programs You’ll Teach

Instructors lead engaging, hands-on STEM programs such as:

  • LEGO® Robotics
  • LEGO® Stop Motion Animation
  • Scratch Coding & Game Design
  • Drone Discovery Lab
  • Applied Science Labs (hands-on experiments)
  • STEM in the Kitchen (introductory cooking-based STEM)
  • Digital Drawing & Design

Schedule & Availability

  • Program runs from August 15 through May (approx. 180 school days)
  • Classes are held Monday–Friday during after-school hours (approx. 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm)
  • Instructors typically work 4 days per week
  • 4–5 hour shifts per day
  • Onboarding begins in July, with paid training starting August 1
  • Reliability and consistency throughout the school year are essential

  • Transport and manage assigned materials as needed
  • Collaborate with co-instructors and staff to ensure smooth program delivery

Typical shifts: 4–5 hours per day

We are seeking a dependable, organized, and proactive Regional STEM Program Lead to support and oversee our afterschool STEM programs across Fresno and Visalia school sites.

This is a field-based leadership role focused on program quality, instructor support, school communication, logistics, and daily operations across multiple school locations.

Position Details

  • Part-Time Position
  • Pay Range: $23–$25 per hour (depending on experience)
  • Expected Hours: Approximately 20–30 hours per week
  • Schedule: Primarily afterschool hours
  • Frequent travel between Fresno and Visalia school sites required
  • Mileage reimbursement provided for approved work-related travel between program sites

This role will primarily support Fresno-area programs while also providing regional support to Visalia school sites as needed.

Position Summary

The Regional STEM Program Lead will supervise and support IntelliBricks afterschool STEM programs across Fresno and Visalia. This role serves as the primary bridge between instructors, schools, and IntelliBricks management while helping ensure programs run safely, smoothly, and professionally.

The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, problem solver, and team leader who enjoys working in educational environments and supporting instructors and students in hands-on STEM programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and support IntelliBricks STEM programs across Fresno and Visalia school sites
  • Conduct site visits to monitor program quality, instructor performance, and classroom operations
  • Support instructors with coaching, troubleshooting, classroom management, and daily operational needs
  • Coordinate substitute coverage and assist with staffing support when needed
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between school sites and IntelliBricks management
  • Coordinate program materials, inventory, and logistics between sites
  • Ensure compliance with IntelliBricks procedures, safety expectations, and district requirements
  • Respond to urgent operational issues and support smooth day-to-day program execution
  • Submit regular program updates, observations, and operational reports to management
  • Help maintain a positive, professional, and engaging learning environment across all assigned sites

Qualifications

  • Experience working in afterschool programs, youth programs, education, enrichment, or expanded learning environments preferred
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple school sites and priorities simultaneously
  • Comfortable supporting instructors and working directly with students and school staff
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel regularly between Fresno and Visalia school sites
  • Ability to lift and transport program materials and storage bins
  • Availability during afterschool program hours
  • Background check and TB clearance required before assignment
