The Core Experience

Step inside the world of Minecraft and become a movie creator! In this hands-on class for Grades 2-6, students build their favorite biomes and characters out of LEGO® bricks and turn them into short films. Using simple stop-motion techniques, children learn how to make Steve, Alex, and Creepers move and interact. It’s a project-based journey where students Build, Storyboard, Film, and Edit their very own Minecraft adventures.

What Students Learn

• The Magic of Animation: Discover how taking many small photos creates the illusion of smooth movement.
• Building for the Camera: Learn how to create LEGO® sets that look great on screen.
• Minecraft Storytelling: Plan out fun scenes featuring mining, crafting, and surviving the night.
• Simple Movie Editing: Add title cards and fun effects to wrap up the project.
