Drone Discovery Lab: Aerial Robotics & Team Flight Missions
The Core Experience
Command the skies through collaboration.
In the Drone Discovery Lab, students in Grades 4-8 learn that successful flight requires more than just a pilot. Working in specialized flight crews of three, students rotate through essential roles to complete complex aerial missions. This team-based approach mirrors real-world aviation and robotics industries, teaching students how to communicate, solve problems under pressure, and master 21st-century technology together.
What Students Learn
- The Physics of Flight: Explore how lift, weight, thrust, and drag interact during maneuvers.
- Team Communication: Practice the clear, concise “Flight Talk” used by professional aviators.
- Autonomous Programming: Use block-based logic to code drones for self-guided discovery missions.
- System Resource Management: Learn to manage hardware, battery life, and mission timing as a team.
The IntelliBricks Difference

- Collaborative Flight Crews
Students work in teams of three to master aerial missions - Rotating Roles
Crews shift roles regularly, ensuring every student masters every skill - Safe Indoor Flight
We use specialized micro-drones designed for safe, indoor classroom use - Mission-Based Learning
Teams solve “Search and Rescue” and “Environmental” challenges from above - Leadership & Logic
Develop communication skills alongside drone coding and manual flight physics
Safety & Logistics
- 🛡️ Propeller Safety: We use micro-drones with full propeller guards for total indoor safety.
- 🎮 Managed Skill Progression: Crews start with basic hovering before moving to multi-stage navigation.
- 🏫 Turnkey School Solution: We provide all drones, tablets, and flight obstacles. Only a standard indoor space is required.
