What is Jr.FLL? Junior FLL is a program conducted by FIRST.  FIRST is a non-profit organization founded in 1989 and is based in Manchester, NH. Every year thousands of teams from all over the world participate in FLL. They design, build and present a robot to combat a real world challenge.

 What do children learn?

 Children get to:

  •  Design and build a challenge-related model using LEGO® components
  • Create a Show Me Poster and practice presentation skills
  • Explore challenges facing today's scientists
  • Discover real-world math and science
  • Begin developing teamwork skills
  • Choose to participate in expos and showcases
  • Engage in team activities guided by Jr.FLL Core Values

Who can participate? Any child 6-9 years of age

How do children participate? Children can join one of the several teams in your area.

How long should children commit? 1-2 hours a week for 10-12 weeks

When is the practice? Oct7,14,21,28,Nov4,18,Dec2,9,16,Jan20,Jan27, Feb3 all Tuesdays from 5pm to 6:30pm (Total 12 weeks)

Where is the practice conducted? IntelliBricks House. (6666 Kings Canyon Dr, Rocklin, CA 95765)

What do children work with?  Children work with different kind of LEGO® bricks and create a simple machine to address the Jr.FLL challenge. IntelliBricks will provide Lego and all other supplies.

When is the competition? The Jr.FLL events are not competitions, they are events that provide children opportunity to show case their creations. In Jr.FLL everyone is winner. The tentative event date is February 8th. It will most likely be in Sacramento or Bay Area.
